Help us clean up Richmond Road from Golden to Tweedsmuir! Join us on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 10:00am until noon at MEC’s big tent, 366 Richmond Road.
To celebrate Earth Day the Westboro Community Association, with the support of the Mountain Equipment Company (MEC), and the Westboro Village BIA, are hosting its second annual garbage pickup along Richmond Road from Golden Avenue to Tweedsmuir Avenue.
In 2024, more than 20 bags of garbage were picked up. Volunteers raved about how they enjoyed getting together with neighbours to get the job done. Best of all was seeing less garbage on the street, especially plastic, that wouldn’t be ending up in the Ottawa River.
