Roosevelt and Byron is an intersection loaded with pedestrians travelling between Westboro’s shopping district and the neighbourhoods to the south. But infill development has stripped out all the greenery and left the corner with crumbling roads and sidewalks, and construction debris everywhere. In response, Roosevelt residents gathered up the rubble on the southeast corner of the intersection and started a bed of day lilies. On June 2, check out the Lily Pad on your way to the Farmers’ Market or the Wild Wild Westboro Garage Sale!
