As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, the Roosevelt Pedestrian Bridge is coming down. During the construction of the LRT in the Transitway trench, buses will be diverted from Tunney’s along Scott Street so the pedestrian bridge will be replaced with one that can accommodate a bus. A new Roosevelt Pedestrian Bridge will be reconstructed after the work on the LRT is complete.
During the 2-day bridge removal, Workman Avenue will be closed. Local traffic will be maintained with a flag person. A pedestrian and cyclist detour will be in effect until the end of the bus detour when a new pedestrian bridge will be installed.
Workman Avenue will be closed June 19 and 20, 2021.
Workman will be temporarily closed to allow for the removal of Roosevelt Pedestrian Bridge and the Bridge is being removed to facilitate the bus detour.
