Ward Boundary Review Options Report Now Available

The Ottawa Ward Boundary Review 2020 is a project that is meant to establish new ward boundaries for the City of Ottawa to use in the next three or four municipal elections. The City has released an Options Report, which includes five options for new ward boundaries. These options are the result of a round of public consultations held from March 4 to April 3, 2020 where information was collected from the public, stakeholder and Members of Council regarding the City of Ottawa’s current ward boundaries and desired changes. This has been distilled into five options for new ward boundaries.

There will be a second round of consultations in early August, asking for your input on the five options. Round 2 consultations will include various public and stakeholder meetings – either online or in person, depending on the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic at the time – as well as consultations with Members of Council, a survey and online discussion through Engage.Ottawa. We will provide more details on these when we receive them from the City. Meanwhile, have a look at the five options, see link above, and be ready with your views!
