After raising $2,000 for the Westboro Region Food Bank last year, Westboro’s most unique fundraiser returns on September 26, 2026 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Westboro Legion, 389 Richmond Road.
Sponsored by the Westboro Community Association and Samurai Ikebana Studio, you will see a beautiful display of over 20 ikebana – Japanese floral art – arrangements. Try your hand at flower arranging and make a bouquet to take home. We also have flower arranging demonstrations and a draw for pottery by Janet Keefe. Guests are asked to donate $20 – every cent goes to the food bank.
This year we hope to exceed the amount of money we raised in 2025. Food insecurity continues to stalk our community; emergency shelters are full and affordable housing is scarce, resulting in families relying on food banks and other resources to get through the week. So please join us.
