Tree Cutting to start at 1705 Carling

We received the following information from the Councillor’s office:

On Monday, Claridge will start prepping their site at 1705 Carling Ave by completing the necessary and approved tree cutting. Roughly 10-15 trees will be removed due to excavation and Hydro lines and 17 new trees will be planted along with shrubs, perennials and ornamental grasses.

The Siberian elm hedge row on the east side of the site will also completely removed. It contains many individual trees that can’t be saved as they are under a power line had have been heavily pruned so as to be cantilevered over the development site. A section of cedar hedge on the northwest side of the will also need to be removed . The cedar hedge on the northeast side of the site is retained.

Please don’t hesitate to contact Jeff.Leiper@ottawa.ca if you have any questions.
